MONEY/CURRENCY
The currency in Scotland is Pounds Sterling £ (GBP).
We recommend you contact your bank/credit card provider to let them know you will be traveling so that you have no interruptions to service while in country. You can visit an ATM to acquire cash to utilize while in country.
Tipping:
Drivers - There will be a driver gratuity collection at the Celtic Golf hospitality desk at the Dakota Glasgow. Tipping is not required but is encouraged. We recommend £10.00-15.00 per person per day.
WEATHER
The weather in July in Scotland typically ranges from 65 – 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
We recommend bringing clothes to layer as the weather can change multiple times during the day. Please check the forecast before leaving as mother nature can always throw in a surprise
ELECTRICAL CONVERTERS
The outlets in Scotland are different than what we have in the United States. In order to charge or plug in any device (cell phone charger, laptop etc.) you will require a converter. We highly recommend purchasing 1 (or more) before travelling as the hotels may be limited in supply based on high levels of occupancy.
Here is an example of a converter for USA devices to Scottish electrical outlets that can be purchased on Amazon.
